Libassa Wildlife Sanctuary

Do you know there is a wildlife sanctuary at Libassa? Libassa is located in Margibi County off Marshall Road. The sanctuary is a recent addition to the water park and ecolodge.

The Sanctuary is managed by Julie Vanassche, Sanctuary Manager who is passionate about the animals in her care.

For as little as $5.00, I got to see an anteater, monkeys and even a Gabon Adder (a Cassava Snake). The sanctuary is small but it is a good start.

It's a good place to safely see some spices of Liberia's wildlife. I found the sanctuary accessible and interesting.

The next time you are on Marshall Road, or bored and looking for something to do, stop by the Wildlife Sanctuary at Libassa. Tell Julie, you saw the Wildlife Sanctuary on TLC Africa website.

Libassa is closed for the months of August and September, however, the Sanctuary is open, and if you are lucky to stop by at the right time, you just may get the see the snake, eat the rat. Yummm.
