Fundraiser for the Christian A. Richards Early Childhood & Elementary School

The city of Clay-Ashland and its environs demographically have a very high young age population, as is the case all over Liberia.  These are children of meager sugar cane and cassava growers who cannot afford to provide their basic needs.

Christian A. Richards Early Childhood & Elementary School is a tuition free community school opened to provide top rate, high standard education to children of Clay-Ashland.

A hand pump to provide safe drinking water was made possible through a donor.  The PTA pays $500.00  Liberian dollars per family monthly (less than $5.00 US.)  This goes to provide daily lunch for students and staff. The Richards Coleman Family Foundation (RCFF) added a bathroom for students and staff. We must now seek funding for the operation of the school, which includes salaries for the staff, uniforms, books and supplies for all our students.

A needy student (that's about all of them) can be sponsored for $120.00 a year.  This comes up to $10/month.  This will provide a set of regular uniform, a set of P.E. uniform, 3 pairs of socks, a pair of sneakers plus school supplies for a year.

With your support, these children can become world leaders, teachers, doctors etc. - the joys of a family, community, nation and the world.

Yours in Service,

Cia A Richards-Ledlum
